In celebration of Easter, April Fool’s Day and just because it’s funny here is a video by Muppets Studio. It features the one and only Big Mean Carl and some very cute bunnies doing a cover of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me.”
The Muppet’s were famous for their show and movies in the 70′s and 80′s and with the advent of youtube they have found a new home online.
Their most recent claim to fame was the cover of the “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen and they recently released their own iPhone app.It has been a resurrection of sorts for the brand, the short sketch comedy they represent is a perfect transplant for the Internet and youtube, with a movie in the works as well.
What do you think of their return so far and what does Disney (which bought the muppets in 2004 from the Jim Henson company) need to do to make the movie and the brand as a whole a success?
