GGRP Sound wanted a creative way of showcasing their sound engineering abilities and so they went old school by sending out loads of cardboard record players as a direct mail piece. The design of the cardboard record player was done by the people over at Grey Canada.
So what kind of trickery does this cardboard have to play a record?
Simply but all you do is put together and spin the record with a pencil. The vibrations are picked up by the needle and amplified by the cardboard box. No trickery involved but this is something that Bill Nye the Science guy would love.
With this they are kicking it old school with records and cardboards and that deserves a gold star by me. (Click on the picture to see how it all works)
