Tonight’s celebration of the 2014 Tomorrow Awards kicked off the ADC Festival of Art + Craft in Advertising and Design at the James Royal Palm Hotel in true Miami Beach fashion as we toasted to the five extraordinary winners and enjoyed the evening poolside. Beats were provided by “avant-dance” duo Afrobeta, a visual projection from ADC Global Partner Shutterstock enhanced the futuristic experience, and an “interactive bar” installed by the celebration’s sponsor, SapientNitro, streamlined the bar experience using guests’ smartphones to serve them cocktails.

Dedicated to educating and discovering boundary-pushing work, the Tomorrow Awards are media- and category-neutral — and that leads to an awe-inspiring collection of diverse and truly innovative work. After hundreds of Industry Judges from around the world help select the shortlist, our esteemed panel of Monster Judges hand picked these five winners as the best of the best, work that defies categorization and exceeds expectations:

HAKUHODO Kettle Inc. for Yahoo! Japan, “Hands on Search”

VML for Folly Theater, “Folly Plugged-In Live Theater Performance”

Lemz for Terre des Hommes, “Sweetie”

Garbergs for Stockholms Stadsmission, “Follow Nattjouren’s Road to Christmas”

Google Creative Lab for Arcade Fire/Google, “Just a Reflektor”

Congratulations to all the winners! Check out the shortlist to see how this year’s competition stacked up. And keep following the Tomorrow Awards for exclusive lessons and behind-the-scenes stories from the selected works!
