With Google Voice Search for desktop, anyone can talk instead of type to search google.com. Since talking to your computer has long been a dream of Trekkies and sci-fi fans we thought, what if we extended the new Voice Search feature to a physical computing project?

Breakfast collaborated with Google Creative Lab to create the Verbalizer, an open source, printed circuit board that lets anyone take the magic of Google Voice Search for desktop...and with a bit of imagination and tinkering...customize it into their own magical, physical computing Voice Search project. Breakfast hosted a workshop in Brooklyn and invited the local community to participate, resulting in magic genie lamps and HAL fabrications.
